Filmmaking workshops across Bihar

Through the Diyara Project we run sessions with young people across districts of Bihar. Its largest part is Kahani on Camera, a filmmaking workshop where participants learn storytelling and craft, then make films of their own.

The workshop

Participants learn storytelling and filmmaking from the beginning: finding a story worth telling, then learning how to tell it well.

The film festival

The project ends with a film festival where the films made in the workshops are screened publicly.

We hope this becomes a place where young people tell their own stories, look at the issues around them, and find creative and professional work they want to do. Not just a workshop they attended once.
